The Delaware River Virtual Swim 2026 Celebration will take place on Sunday June 21. Join other swimmers from the event for a free coached workout at New Providence Community Pool from 8:30-10 am, followed by a breakfast at Jaycees Park (all in the same location, you can walk there from the pool). 2026 NJ LMSC Coach/ALTS Scholarship Program
This program is for members seeking to become an ondeck USMS certified coach or Adult Learn To Swim (ALTS) instructor . The NJ LMSC scholarship covers the USMS Coach Certification and ALTS Instructor courses, and Continuous Coach Education offerings. Once you register or complete a course, you can submit your name as a scholarship candidate using this registration form.
2026 NJ LMSC Gen Z Scholarship Program
This program is for registered 2026 USMS members in the 18 - 24 age group and offers a 50% reimbursement to scholarship applicants that respond to a simple feedback survey they will receive 90 days after submitting their scholarship application. Swimmer data submitted will be verified with USMS member records to confirm scholarship qualification. Please reach out to Ed Tsuzuki ([email protected]) or Chris McGiffin ([email protected]) if you have any questions.
Scholarship steps:
1) Join USMS (Existing 18-24 age group USMS members go to Step 2)
2) Submit your application for scholarship here.
3) Respond to a simple 90-day follow-up survey*
4) Get reimbursed 50% of your USMS membership cost!
*Required: You will receive a survey from NJ LMSC 90 days from your scholarship application date. Once we receive your survey response, we will mail you a reimbursement check.

Nancy Steadman Martin Sets 1650 Record at USMS Spring Nationals
Congratulations to Nancy Steadman Martin (71) for setting a new record in the women's 70-74 age group in the 1650 yard freestyle at the USMS Spring Nationals at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC on April 30, 2026. Nancy swam a 21:11.29 on her way to a gold medal. Nancy also placed first in the 500 and 1000 free, and the 400 IM.

Congratulations to Nancy Steadman Martin (71) for setting a new record in the women's 70-74 age group in the 100 yard fly at the 2025 Delaware Valley Souderton Masters Meet at the Souderton Area High School in Souderton, PA on November 2, 2025.
SCY Records Set at YMCA Masters Nationals
Congratulations to the following swimmers who set new SCY records at the YMCA Masters National Championships at the Selby Aquatic Center in Sarasota, Florida on April 16-19, 2026. Deborah Cipriano (69) swam a 41.78 in the 50 breaststroke in the women's 65-69 age group. Deborah also finished with a silver medal in the 200 breaststroke. Frank McElroy (78) continued his record setting ways with 5 new individual records in the men's 75-79 age group: 200 free - 2:27.85 (bronze), 500 free - 6:36.22 (silver), 1000 free - 13:35.55 (gold), 100 fly - 1:25.37 (bronze), and 200 IM - 2:57.55 (bronze)!

Congratulations to Jose Faria (60) who set new SCM records at the 2026 Albatross Open held at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center in Boyds, Maryland on March 14, 2026. Jose lowered the 50 back and 200 back times to 32.70 and 2:36.70 respectively.
Frank McElroy Continues to Set New SCY Records
Congratulations to Frank McElroy (77) who set new SCY records at the 2026 St. Pete Masters Bob Beach Championship meet held at the North Shore Pool in St. Petersburg, Florida on March 21, 2026. Frank swam the 100 fly in 1:26.30 and the 200 IM in 3:00.25.

Congratulations to Frank McElroy who set new SCY records at the Gulf Coast Games for Life Senior Games held at the Selby Aquatic Center in Sarasota, Florida on February 7, 2026. Frank (77) swam the 200 free in 2:31.05 and the 500 free in 6:47.50.

Congratulations to the following swimmers who set new SCM records at the 17th Rowdy Gaines Masters Classic held at the Rosen Aquatic and Fitness Center in Orlando, Florida on January 30-February 1 2026. Deborah Cipriano (69) set new standards in the 25 free - 15.41 and the 50 free - 33.42 while Jose Faria (60) lowered the records for the 100 free - 1:03.06, 100 back - 1:12.33, 25 breast - 16.47, 25 fly - 14.16, 100 IM - 1:10.09, and the 400 IM - 5:37.75.

SCY Records Fall at YMCA Masters Nationals!
Congratulations to Deborah Cipriano (68) and Nancy Steadman Martin (70) for setting new NJ LMSC SCY records at the 2025 YMCA National Championships in Orlando, FL on May 8-11, 2025. Deborah lowered the records in the Women's 66-59 50 yard breaststroke with a 42.16 and in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:30.45. Nancy continued tearing up the 70-74 record book with 10 new records: 100 free - 1:07.05, 200 free - 2:22.63, 500 free - 6:08.43, 1000 free - 13:32.21, 1650 free - 21:13.48, 50 back - 36.76, 200 back - 1:17.00, 200 back - 2:42.74, 200 breast - 3:13.99, 200 IM - 2:50.20, and 400 IM - 5:54.30.
Deborah was national champion in the 100 breast and Nancy brought home gold medals in the 1000 and 1650 free, the 200 breast, and the 400 IM.

Kerri swam the 50 breast in the women's 60-64 age group in 36.70 and Nancy set 3 new records in the women's 70-74 age group: 50 back - 37.94, 200 breast - 3:22.68, and 100 IM - 1:20.88.

Congratulations to Sanna Greenberg (49) and Lorna Cialdella Morehead (60) for setting new NJ LMSC SCY records in the women's 45-49 and 60-64 age groups at the New England and Colonies Zone SCY Championships at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA on March 23, 2025. Sanna set a new record in the 200 breast with a 2:35.95 and Lorna lowered three standards: 200 breast (3:06.99), 100 fly (1:15.74), and 200 IM (2:44.54).

SCY Records Fall at YMCA Masters Nationals!
Congratulations to Deborah Cipriano (68) and Nancy Steadman Martin (70) for setting new NJ LMSC SCY records at the 2025 YMCA National Championships in Orlando, FL on May 8-11, 2025. Deborah lowered the records in the Women's 66-59 50 yard breaststroke with a 42.16 and in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:30.45. Nancy continued tearing up the 70-74 record book with 10 new records: 100 free - 1:07.05, 200 free - 2:22.63, 500 free - 6:08.43, 1000 free - 13:32.21, 1650 free - 21:13.48, 50 back - 36.76, 200 back - 1:17.00, 200 back - 2:42.74, 200 breast - 3:13.99, 200 IM - 2:50.20, and 400 IM - 5:54.30.
Deborah was national champion in the 100 breast and Nancy brought home gold medals in the 1000 and 1650 free, the 200 breast, and the 400 IM.
